Group Sales Manager at Barton Park Homes presenting the cheque to Natalie Bromley, Corporate Fundraiser at Trinity Hospice
Residents and staff at our flagship park, Willowgrove Leisure Park and Fishery in Preesall, Lancashire, held a number of events throughout the year to raise over £450 for Trinity Hospice in Bispham.
A registered charity, Trinity Hospice is well-known and respected in the local area, and has provided valuable care to many of the current and former residents at Willowgrove.
The hospice offers a range of palliative care services to patients, their family, and their carers completely free for as long as they are needed, whether that is weeks, months or years. Patients can receive full-time care in the purpose-built hospice, in their own home or in the community.
To provide this care and service to the local communities, the hospice needs to raise £5million every year. But over the next six months it is seeking to raise an additional £200,000 to fund a programme of improvements to the buildings and facilities so that it can continue to provide outstanding care.
Willowgrove raised a total of £461 through raffles at events held over the course of the year, including an Easter Bonnet competition, an Independent Living Exhibition in the spring, and a summer Garden Party.
Speaking about the funds raised,[p2p type=”slug” value=”willowgrove-park-homes-in-lancashire”]Willowgrove[/p2p] Office Manager, Glenda Miziura, said: “The charity is very close to our hearts here at Willowgrove. We chose to raise money for Trinity Hospice because many of our owners have used the vital facilities and services and speak very highly of the care and attention they receive.”
Residents and staff hope to double the funds raised this year by raising £1,000 for the hospice in 2014 and would welcome any donations towards this cause.
