Two of our newest residents explain how they made the decision to settle at Glenholt Residential Park.
Originally from Rayleigh in Essex, Bill and Linda Groves have been visiting Cornwall for 30 years, so it was no surprise to their family when they chose to settle in the West Country. But it was not quite the foregone conclusion it seemed. Before choosing to move to Glenholt just outside Plymouth, Bill looked at parks in Norfolk, Berkshire, Essex and Buckinghamshire. As Bill said; “we had a good look around and spent three years making our decision”.
Happily settled in Glenholt since February this year, Bill and Linda are enjoying their Omar Middleton, a model that they’d had their eye on from the start of their search for a park home. When asked why they finally chose Barton Park Homes’ Glenholt Park, Bill was very clear; “Glenholt provides a peaceful location with views over woodland, on the edge of Dartmoor. It’s hard to believe it’s just 4 miles from the centre of Plymouth”.
After requesting a brochure, Bill kept in touch with Gregg Millar, Barton’ South West Sales Manager, and then arranged a visit to the park. A full redevelopment of the site was underway, and the Groves were concerned about the park’s appearance.
“Gregg assured us that, once finished, the park would be the best in the area and he was right” Bill said “Gregg’s understated, low-pressure style put us at ease”.
The promise of finding themselves amongst like-minded and friendly neighbours is also coming true. The resident’s association organise regular trips and Bill is already looking forward to the next one to Totnes, and a boat trip on the River Dart later.
“It is very rewarding to hear that Glenholt has lived up to expectations. Any move is a big decision and we seek to ensure that we offer help and advice at every stage” said Gregg.
