The 15th Keswick Film Festival offers a fantastic range of films as well as opportunities to meet and talk to guests. You can choose from an exciting and original mix of 30 UK and international films, previews and UK premières whilst experiencing the stunning views of the Lake District.

Kendal Made in Cumbria Farmers’ Market
Friday 28th Feb 9.30am to 3.30pm
Kendal’s market charter dates back to 1189 and is the oldest known in Cumbria and the Lake District and each month a vibrant Farmers Market is held in Market Place. The bustling market is built beside the flowing waters of the River Kent in Kendal and many different local traders sell fresh bread, local meats, organic vegetables, Mediterranean olives, oils etc. Organised by Made in Cumbria, many other stalls provide all that the town of Kendal has to offer.
The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra at The Sands Centre, Carlisle
Saturday 1st March 7.30pm
The BBC Philharmonic returns to Carlisle, opening with Sibelius’ most famous work, Finlandia, a national call to arms in the face of Russian aggression. Antje Weithaas, the well-known German violinist, will then perform Sibelius’ virtuosic violin concerto with its mysterious evocative opening and grand finale. In the second half you’ll have a rare opportunity to hear Schumann’s symphonic masterpiece, his Symphony No. 1.
